In the short story that Frank R. Stockton wrote about a “semibarbaric king” who owned a arena and he punished men by making them choose between two doors. One with a tiger in it and the other with a lady in it. If they were to choose the one with the lady they would get married. Well the author didn’t finish writing this story and had many people ask, “ What was behind the door?” he never told. No one know till this day. So I’m going to finish it here it is. He opens the door slowly and the tiger pushes it the rest of the way. The boy tried to run away, but it was no use. Before you know it the tiger is attacking the boy and the king seemed happy yet frightened. The princess was sad she didn’t want him to die but then again she didn’t want him to marry another girl. But it seemed like every time someone would get close to opening her door they would change their mind. They would pick the door with the tiger and die. For the longest time the princess thought she would never fall in love again. Until her father put her behind the door one more time. The boy was just a year older than her, and he was poor he was getting punished for stealing food. He stood in front of the doors thinking and staring at them just waiting for a noise so her new which one to pick. Every time he would move he would change his mind really quick. Suddenly he went for the door with the tiger in it grabbed the handle, but didn’t turn the handle. He moved quickly to the door with the princess in it and opened it slowly.
