In this essay, I used the stories “The Fairy Serpent” and “The Snake-Prince”. “The Fairy Serpent” is from Chin, and “The Snake-Prince” is from Greece. Both of these stories are other countries ways of telling their version of “Beauty and the Beast”. Both of these stories fall into the Fairy Tale category. These two stories are very different yet very similar. Let me show you some examples: These two stories have more differences than similarities. I am going to show you some of the things that are alike about them. In comparison, in the story, “The Snake-Prince” the merchant had three daughters. “Once upon a time there was a merchant and he traded “all the way to Bagdad,” as the saying is. He had twelve ships which sailed to foreign countries, and he had besides three pretty daughters.” This piece of evidence explains that one, he was a merchant, and two he has three daughters.
