Today, it seems like TV and movies have made it seem like the cowboy’s life is superb. On the contrary, a cowboy’s life is full of struggles, lonliness, and dangers, as described in Geoffrey C Ward’s historical essay, “ The Real Story of a Cowboy’s Life.”
