In the video, “Learning Styles Don’t Exist,” Professor Willingham states that, “Good teaching is good teaching and teachers don’t need to adjust their teaching to individual students learning styles.” This statement goes against my philosophy of teaching and implies that if a teacher performs well at their job then the students will learn regardless of how content is applied or learning styles. At first Professor Willingham had a few valid arguments, but as he continued, it became more and more shocking.
