This shows that the father forgave him for the death of his son as he walks away the narrator waiting for his death says “I close my eyes and wait then I urinate himself”(44) and he finds out that Clive’s father had left. He left maybe because he forgave him for what happen to his son which related to the narrator wanting for forgiveness who gets it from not Clive but from his father which is why he didn’t get killed.
