People in society all try to be accepted, this can impact people’s relationships with eachother. Almost always people want to blend with the crowd and stay with all the trends that society has. Two people in a relationship can want each other to blend in and not be noticed exaggeratedly and be the most “normal” they can be. In literature characters often have relationships with other characters, but society may try to be “ordinary” from the conformity of society. In the book Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli, the protagonist Leo, has an important relationship with Stargirl, which reveals the theme of maintaining individuality, because they both deal with pressures of conformity in their high school.
The article "Zap! Pow! Bam!" When Dire Times Called for New Heroes wrote by Johnna Rizzo, it talked about the superhero and the golden age of comic in the America. Superman is first comics figure came to buoy American and his story which is action comics contented triumphing over evil every time.

Similarly, she discusses how many female directors were afraid to even attempt to direct a Wonder Woman film (149). Altogether, Howell argues many valid points along with examples of the gender bias in popular culture. With her focus on DC Comics and their failed attempts to market and produce a film for a character, such as Wonder Woman, was a solid representation of the gender bias that has and continues to exist in popular culture. Charlotte E. Howell argued many great points in her article, “Tricky” Connotations: Wonder Woman as DC’s Brand Disruptor.” Just as DC Comics had
Animist comics believe in the “pure transparency of content” and intuition. Lastly, iconoclast “emphasizes the authenticity of human experience and honesty.” McCloud firmly believes that all of these types of comics can convey knowledge to the reader and benefit the world. For example formalist comics can be used for science, and classicist can be used for art and literature. McCloud believes that comics are beneficial because it gives the reader a better picture of what the author is trying to get across.

While it might not be evident at first glance, this subjection to authority is opposed many times in Superman Earth One. Specifically, Clark’s internal debate leading to his decision to assume his Superman role, hence following his father’s advice, gives interesting insight on obedience. In this scene, Tyrell, the villain, is launching an attack on Metropolis. Trying to take pictures for the journal he works for, Olsen puts himself in danger by approaching enemy war robots. At the last minute, Clark saves him by destroying the robot, but without being seen.
The face of hardships, one must never lose bravery or led to be let down. Schools are all about conformity. In many schools conformity rule the school. When an individual is ruling the school, people might want to conform to that person. In the book "Stargirl" by Jerry Spinelli is a very good example of conformity ruling the school.
The essay by Greg tells the story on how Superman has been a role model for him his entire life. From the first time he saw the movie, he had this fascination. Greg wanted to be Superman. He wanted the confidence and courage. Superman allowed him to stand up to bullies, get up and help people.
What is something that a child only has once? It’s their innocence. The theme of innocence and its destruction, is very crucial in Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird. The various mentions of a mockingbird in the story portray various types of innocence.
The cartoon strip is very similar to 1984. The cartoon parallels a major theme in 1984, which is the government’s ability to brainwash and have total control over its citizens. In 1984, the Party has full control over the citizens of Oceania, and if a citizen were to believe anything other than what the Party tells them, they are deemed to be seditious. In turn, the Party has a coalition of people who work to “recondition” the outlaws, and by the end of their time in the Ministry of Love, the once seditious civilians are convinced that “2+2=5.” This is what the government wants them to believe.
The next heroine not only breaks the typical gender stereotypes but also revolutionises the superhero movie genre. Wonder Woman was brought to the big screen in 2017 and made by female director Patty Jenkins. What is more, the premiere of the movie made a history since Wonder Woman had the biggest weekend opening for a female director, bringing in more than $100 million. Although female superheroes have always been present in cinema they have been limited in their exposure and always outnumbered by males. What really distinguishes Wonder Woman as a female superhero is that she is the first heroine belonging to a superhero team who was granted with her own separate movie.
In the comic books, Batgirl is the alter ego of Barbara Gordon, daughter of longtime Batman collaborator Commissioner James Gordon. Although the character was an excellent ally to the Caped Crusader, she is later shot by the Joker in Batman: The Killing Joke and becomes paralyzed from the waist down. The injury didn’t stop Barbara from taking on the mantle of the Oracle to continue helping the Dark Knight. Although some fans might question the idea of turning Alex into Batgirl in the CBS show, it certainly offers an excellent way to introduce another beloved DC character in Supergirl.
