Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a survivor of the holocaust? If so, the following would be a short summary from a book that a survivor of the holocaust wrote. I will be telling you three thing from his book. The first is what are the authors painful memories, and why he told about them. The second is if I agree with his choice. The third is what he will lose if he forgot about his painful memories.
Wiesel’s painful memories consist of his time in the concentration camp. While he was there the guards, and the other prisoners in the concentration camp beat him with sticks, and made him run around in the cold naked. Despite this though he remained faithful that he would be rescued, and that he would survive the holocaust. It also makes us stronger, as well as make us more resilient. Let's say that you were in the holocaust. Sure you would want to lose the memories because they cause you pain, but the pain can be a good thing, and there is a lot of other ways to forget about the pain. Pain can go two ways for a person it can make you go crazy, or it could make you into a better person, how can pain make you into a better person you ask. Simple you know how it feels to feel pain, so depending what kind of person you are, you will see that you shouldn’t inflict pain on others. In the short.
