On February 15 1820 one woman was born who would change the rights for all women in the future. In Adams, Massachusetts, a quaker girl would be raised with activist traditions in her home(SusanbAnthonyhouse). This influential female took huge steps just to be able to vote for who she wanted to be in office; she wanted to work and receive the same salary men do. With this woman’s tireless efforts for women's equality she change the 19th Amendment so that we can vote in America today(Biography). This independent, stubborn, persevering lady is Susan Brownell Anthony.

Susan Anthony was born and raised in Adams Massachusetts with quaker being her known religion(susan house). At an early age she was introduced to activist tradition which she supported, also she gained a sense of justice and had strong moral early on(susan house). Her family, with the other 7 siblings she had, moved to New York in 1826, and it was there that she started a teaching career where she taught for 15 years(biography). Anthony had many notable accomplishments in her life. The biggest and a most notable awards she had was she helped make the 19th amendment possible by speaking at organizations and at public events since she was politically active(History). Also, she had an article that she wrote about women’s rights called “The Revolution” she publish her first article called “History of Women’s Suffrage.” She also founded the Women’s Suffrage Association which is an organization that supports women’s rights. When in her later years, Anthony visited the White House when she was eighty-five years old. Susan B. Anthony, in 1979, was the first woman to be on a coin; this coin was worth a dollar(biography).
