Susan Brownell Anthony was a great American leader and feminist for women in the United States. She played a pivotal role in the fight for women’s suffrage. She led several women’s suffrage organizations. This led her to play a large role in the 19th Amendment.
Susan B. Anthony Susan B. Anthony is a great woman in history, she was loved and hated by many people. She was an activist who fought for women’s rights, but she didn’t just fight for women, she fought for equal rights for the entire human race. She firmly believed in equality, that’s why I chose to write this paper on her. She is a great role model and inspiration to many women all over the world. So, take this journey with me through history.
Courage is said to be one of the most important characteristics a person can possess. We all admire the ones that put their jobs and lives on the line. They are not afraid to go against what the human society believes in, and some put their lives on the line to protect their loved ones’ back home. Robert F Kennedy stated in Profiles of Courage, that “Courage is the virtue that President Kennedy most admired. He sought out those people who had demonstrated in some way, whether it was on the battlefield or a baseball diamond, in a speech or fighting for a cause, that they had courage, that they would stand up, that they could be counted on (Kennedy ix).
Susan B. Anthony (Susan Brownell Anthony) Susan B. Anthony was a prominent feminist author who started the movement of women’s suffrage and she was also the president of the National American Women Suffrage Association. Anthony was in favor of abolitionism as she was a fierce activist in the anti-slavery movement before the civil war. Susan Anthony was born on February 15, 1820, in Adams, Massachusetts, and before becoming a famous feminist figure, she worked as a teacher. Anthony grew up in a Quaker family that made her spend her time working on social causes. And her father was an owner of a local cotton mill.

Born in 1820, Susan B. Anthony experienced a time with various social changes causing by the Industrial Revolution and the urbanization in the United States. From 1830 to 1850, a wave of revolutionary fervor throughout the European and the United States, giving rise to many liberals who wanted to create a new order.1 Growing up in a politically active family, Susan calculated advanced ideas and consciousness about the needs for women to be personally and economically independent. Susan B. Anthony is a pioneer reformer in the abolition of the slavery, the emancipation of women as well as their acquisition of the right to vote. She dedicated most of her life to strive for the equal right of women, in which she organized meetings and gave speeches

Courage is found in many different situations in the modern world like in members of our military, law enforcement, and many others ordinary people performing courageous acts to help better our society. Everyone wants to have courage since whether in music, Hollywood movies, fairytales, or books we are told courage is one of the most important attributes that can turn an ordinary person into a hero.
Nelson Mandela bests clarified that courage “is not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear” (Brainy Quotes). Humans have the attribute of courage within them; what defines someone is if they allow the characteristic to shine or to hide within them. Courage is a very powerful and impactful word that allows people to complete the daily tasks contained within their typical lives and allows them to complete the hard times when they obtain fear. There are numerous ways to define courage to get a better grasp on the understanding of what this powerful and impacting term truly represents.
Shure being courageous isn't going to be fighting bears, climbing mountains and being a hero. Courage can be the little things to like having the balls to admit your wrong, or swallowing your pride to apologize to someone when you know you're wrong. The one word that might arise when Susan B. Anthony is brought up is outspoken. Anthony was a women’s right campaigner, who was in search of making women the same opportunities as the men did.
Courage is the ability to do something that frightens one. An ordeal or circumstance that can bring out this instantaneous bravery and audacity inside of someone. Courage can be defined by something everyone wishes to display. Not only is it an attribute of good character, but it's what makes us worthy of respect. In To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, the main characters would not have been able to make it without having and acting upon courage.

I made the decision, for example, to tell my parents about my sexuality. I am gay, and I knew the scrutiny I could face at home, and in society if I told my parents.
