3.0 Analysis and Findings In this, there will be an explanation on the Boulevard Restaurant based on Michael Portal’s Five Forces analysis and SWOT Analysis. This analysis and findings will be done according and follow the performance and financial situation of the restaurant. These two analyses are done differently and can be using to identify the advantages, disadvantages, performance, strength and weakness of the restaurant.

3.1 Michael Portal’s Five Forces Portal’s five forces is founded on 1985 and grounded on microeconomic and has to date to shaped strategic management practice in the corporate world. It is built upon the assumption that the external environment is a significant influence in strategy development. The five forces are threat of new entrants, intensity of rivalry, threat of substitutes, bargaining power of buyers and bargaining power of suppliers. (Ogutu, 2015) The portal’s five forces is a simple tool for understanding where power lies in a business situation. It can help to understand both the strength of current competitive position, and the strength of a position that the organization looking to move into. With a clear understanding, the organization can take fair advantages from their strength and improving from the weakness. (Team, 2005)
