In the first scene which is the opening scene the camera is showing a close up on an eye as it starts to zoom in the color of the scene turns red but the eye continues to show in the seen. Red is often symbolic of danger power strength passion and desire all of these are signified throughout the film but in the opening scene the red is referencing danger or it is foreshadowing danger in the film. The next thing the audience is consecutively timed spirals that are in different colors the first spiral comes from the women’s eyes is red once again is signifying danger for the viewer. The second to purple which has been symbolic of power, nobility, luxury, and ambition this color is shown so rarely but when it is shown in this scene it most likely is symbolizing the ambition in this film. The next spiral is blue which symbolizes trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, faith, truth, and heaven this color is shown frequently but this alludes to truth the whole film is based around what is the truth of the situation. John continues to watch Madeline as she starts throwing pedals of flowers into the water eventually she eventually jumps into the bay. Madeline is holding a small bouquet of flowers that are multicolored which symbolizes that she is conflicted and unsure about something as if there was a darkness that was trying to come out. The scene over all was not extremely dark or by contrast even very bright they were near the base of the bridge during sunset which made the scene was both dark and bright which gives the impression that there is still some good and bad which adds a conflict to the
