The critical literary novel The Stars Beneath Our Feet by David barcaly Moore takes palace in harlem New York a boy named Wallace a 12 year old african american boy has to go through the pian of the lost of his dead broth and the only way he can handle it is by building with legos. Flashback and forward, dialogue and symbolize are include in this book by Moore. The most dominant authors craft by Moore makes is symbolism. It should be noted that the symbolism in this book is his brothers bed and legos. The legos helped him feel better and his brothers bed help him know that he loved him. Lolly has a flash back to when his brother had made pancakes with him in the book it says “ Jermaine examined the brown pancake and said, “it ain’t too bad,” relieved. “ now we put this one on the plate” (pg 67-68). This line means that he us to make pan cakes with his brother and he loved to. Another example is when their dad comes home from work “ what in the devil?” Daddy Rachpaul said later when he walked into the kitchen.” this line states that their dad was surprised when he got home from work and went into the kitchen. The last noticeable author,s craft move that is evident is dialogue. Hes talking to his brother about playing around here it says “Yo, loll!” Jermaine said “loll! Stop you playing to much. Another example would be when Lolly’s brother yells at him ““ I don't want you around the barber shop,” he told me” Jermaine didn't want his brother at the baber shop at all because he saw him to much and it was a place he could relax and do something to get his mind off of
