Synoptic Gospels vs. John
Over time, avid Bible readers have come across the many divisions present in the four gospels of the New Testament. The gospel of John stands out in many ways from Mark, Matthew and Luke. Much so that they have their own name called the “synoptic gospels”.
For example, John is similar to the others in the way that they all tell the story of Jesus Christ. Each gospel tells the same stories but in their own way. They each tell of Jesus’ birth, life, death and resurrection. Also both show the connection between John the Gospel and Jesus.1 In many ways the synoptic gospels and John reference the same events that occurred in Jesus’ time.2 The themes of His stories remain constant throughout the gospels, recording Jesus’
