In most schools, there are students that have that one favorite class or elective, while some schools don 't have electives at all. Electives like music, which were taught in elementary, but have now started to disappear from a schools curiculum. I believe that music is an important subject and should become required because it relives stress from students, it 's good for the brain, and boosts confidence. Furthermore music is in general beneficial to a student and should be required.
One problem in today 's students is that they have lost of stress that builds up after a while. This makes them frustrated with themselves and need to relace it somewhere , and what better way to deposit that frustration in a positive way then music. As stated in source 2 "students who play an instrument feel less stress in their lives.". The reason for this is because its fun for them in a productive way
, allowing them to gain a new skill while relacing stress. In addition to this it allows them to have fun and as described in source 1 "kids might feel strongly about wanting to learn to play music.", which is because they are realicing stress which makes them feel happier.

Another great quality that teaching music to students brings i that its good for the brain. Since students brains are still developing its simple to teach them new skills for them to use later on. As depicted on source 3 "kids who too keyboard lessons had more memory skills than kids who did not take lessons.". This would be because of the fact that the keyboard students had to practice lot allowing their minds to be open about remembering things like a scale or a song. Not only does it help memory skills but other skills in other subject like math too. Again as stated in source 2 "music actually helps students remember other parts of their education.", because in music you must count beast and rythems, along with keeping time in a specific part of the
