Stereotypes of races, ethnicities, and gender have always been around but were widely considered acceptable in films of that era. Almost as long as there have been people filming, there have been people fighting for equality to be presented on the big screen. Danez Smith is one of these modern fighters in his free verse poem “Dinosaurs in the Hood.”

Everything happens for a reason, through this cycle of extinction its only nature doing its job. However, there is steps we all can take to slow it down. For instance, we need to repair the damage done through habitat loss, hunting, and any other human-caused problems. If we all join together to not liter, try to recycle, and stop killing animals for a sport it will help drastically.
