Unlike, other furniture stores, Jordan’s Furniture is one of top selling furniture stores in the United States. Originally known as One Acquisition, Inc., Jordan’s was founded in 1918 (Michael McCuddy, n.d.). Founder, Samuel Tatelman started the business by selling furniture in the back of this truck (WarrenBuffet, n.d.). Tatelman eventually was able to open its first furniture store in 1930. Jordan sells various furniture for living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms, and smaller products such as area rugs and mattresses (Michael McCuddy, n.d.). After many years of success, the Tatelman brothers, Barry and Eliot finally took over the family business in 1973 (Warren Buffet, n.d.). Based on Jordan’s reputation, first-time customer who enters Jordan’s Furniture would have high expectations for quality, hygiene, service, motivating factors and valued price. Good hygiene of the environment is a must-have factor (Iacobucci, 2013). Excellent customer service is another expectation of first-time customers. Another big factor to customer’s expectation is the design and value or price of the product. Value is the quality of the product or length of life over the paying price (Iacobucci, 2013). With Jordan’s “shoppertainment” reputation, first time customers can also expect to be amused with its interactive IMAX 3D emersion. Jordan’s Furniture builds customer relationship and services through fun experiences. Allowing them to interact with their products but allowing them to experience is unlike any other typical furniture store gains their service. The first-impression interaction with the customer gains trust and when there is trust, there are sales. Their customers are put forth in priority through the interactive stimulations, making them fill valued. Other than being a valued customer, the quality and value of their product gains repeated customers. With Jordan’s Furniture already ahead in the industry, it is important to continue striving ahead to gain business. Other areas that Jordan can do to continue to do is move the experience where the economy is moving towards such as technologies and styles. Carefully expand to new locations but limit the expansion to new markets. Multiple targeted markets may impact the organization’s goals and complex the process. This can cause disruption to the excellent customer service and relationship. Implement new themes such as a luxury pent-house life in Vegas or an adventurous Rocky Mountain climb (rock climbing) may be a big hit for customer experience. Jordan’s Furniture continues to move beyond the industry and in doing so, will continue to gain new customers and repeated customers through experience, trust and quality
