The first objective of this study was to reveal whether there is a significant correlation between age and the number of tattoos received. The study was also conducted to assess whether there is a correlation between gender and the amount of tattoos received. The primary hypothesis is that there is a significant correlation between the person’s age and the amount of tattoos they have received. This research is significant because tattoos are available everywhere and it is very permanent, unless removed surgically or with laser. Tattoos are permanent, so it is important to choose something that is symbolic to oneself and not something that one will regret as years go by. Hopefully, the findings of this study will reveal that the number of tattoos received varies based on the individuals’ age and since tattoos are so permanent, should be chosen with the upmost attention and knowledge.
