Taylor Swift’s song, “This is me Trying”, is an example of music with meaning because its message is about trying to keep going and always having to stay persistent when doing something. This song is based on Swift’s life and how she constantly feels pressured to make new music and if she doesn't then she will be deemed as a failure. The speaker of the song is Taylor Swift talking about her life and fans who know all too well. Taylor’s message of trying connects with the fans because they can relate in their own ways.

Swift never really explained why she named her song “This is me Trying”. According to the lyrics, you can assume what she meant and why she named the song this. Based on assuming, she is representing her life and how she always feels the need to keep doing new things or people will have bad blood with her. She named this song “This is me Trying” because it represents her emotions and that she is trying her hardest.

I know this because it is exaggerated and her words wouldn’t actually kill. “I was so ahead of the curve, that curve became a sphere, Fell behind on my classmates and I ended up here” is an example of irony.
