The short story “The veldt” was published in September 23, 1950 by a Ray Bradbury. Ray Bradbury was born in a town called Waukegan, located in Illinois. Ray Bradbury was born on August 22, 1920. In his story The Veldt, Ray Bradbury express how people rely on technology and get separated from human connection. Today we have similar issues but with children and how the technology affect their abilities to make human connections.In “The Veldt” Both Peter and Wendy Hadley demonstrates how technology affects kids their age. In the short story “the veldt” George and Lydia are the parents of Peter and Wendy. This family lives in a smart house that literally do everything. George and Lydia had a special room built for their kids. The room have the ability to brings what you imagine to life. George and Lydia found out that their kids were misusing the room. So the parents decided to turn the room off . They found real quick how attached the kids were to the room. In Peter and Wendy eyes the room was more of a parent to them than George and Lydia.
