The material world is the one we can see, touch, hear and smell, are just false truths of the reality. By relying just on your senses is making yourself blind from the real world. The world we see is a reflection of the forms the real world represents. By understanding these forms can lead to true
Review the video on Kevin Trudeau, and discuss how you determine the credibility of information. In the video while being interviewed Kevin Trudeau makes a lot of statements and has little to no proof to back up with he was saying. He uses paid celebrity hosts to help influence his customers and make his product look more credible. He uses presumed credibility based on the celebrities name or a brand customers have heard of in the past, making a buyer presume the product is what is says it should be.
In the Ted video Nicolas Carlisle talks about bullying during his childhood and many other aspects of bullying. A specific part of the video that stood out to me was the part when he talked about the high school bullies that were brought together and were informed about how Alvero was feeling, this was about making the bullies feel empathetic for Alvero. The group of highscoolers then went on to end bullying through the the entire school. What I learned most during this video was how to help a situation in which one is being bullied. For example during the video Nicolas talked about how to stop and prevent bullying by stepping up but he also said how it is sometimes better to take a step back.

In The Puzzle of Experience, J. J. Valberg argues that, concerning the content of our visual experience, there is contention between the answer derived from reasoning and that found when 'open to experience '. The former leads to the conviction that a physical object can never be “the object of experience,” while with the latter “all we find is the world” (18). After first clarifying what is meant by 'object of experience ', the 'problematic reasoning ' will then be detailed. Afterwards, it will be explained how being 'open to experience ' opposes the reasoning, as well as why the resulting “puzzle” cannot be easily resolved. Lastly, a defence of Valberg 's argument will be offered on the grounds that it relevantly captures how we understand our visual
Often, the way we perceive something is altered or controlled by someone/something. Like mentioned earlier, we have our more ordinary influences, like social norms/expectations. But in many cases our perception is tailored. In Brave New World, the Government had complete control over the society's perception. The Government did this by only allowing people to see what they wanted them to see, and not really supporting personal perception.
In the book, Sensing World, Sensing Wisdom: The Cognitive Foundation of Biblical Metaphors, by Nicole L. Tilford –specifically in Chapter 3—the abstract metaphor that “perception is cognition,” is explored. According to Tilford, “cognition is seeing, cognition is hearing, or cognition is smelling,” and humans are able to describe their ways of thinking by their actions and experiences. Humans, being imaginative creatures, are capable of conjuring conflicting conceptualizations of experiences based on their sensory cognitive inputs. However, in situations where cognitive inputs or sensory experiences are absent, these perception/cognitive mechanisms are strained --and it becomes difficult to identify what is what. This passage of text from Zampanò reminds of this passage from Sensing World, Sensing Wisdom: The Cognitive Foundation of Biblical Metaphors, because it mirrors Tilford’s interpretation of subjective perception.

But can our senses trick us and affect what we know of the world? How can we know that the reality we know is simply a figment of our imagination? Perception can be divided into two parts: the sensation, which is what is provided by the world (the stimulus to the senses) and the interpretation, which is when our mind turns the sensation into information for us. Perception lets us interact with the world that surrounds us. With perception, it is much more easy way to know something.
