Business Architecture explains the strategy of a product or service. It further considers the business environment taking into account the organizational, functional, process, information, and geographic aspects. Supporting the architectural vision of a company like in the Vermont Teddy Bear (VTB) requires a keen analysis of the existing process and how the current business model operates. An analysis of the case study shows the strategic IT alignment that VTB faced at that time. It was evident that during peak periods when deliveries were high the system would face a backlog of work and excessive capacity affected operations.

Loopholes like the system breakdown of system during peak seasons is noted, requirement for reinforcements to avoid customer delays should also be analysed noting down every contributing factor, Troubleshooting requirements in a system is also another indication that the current system is not working.
