Ms. Piazza 5th period Television is an extremely popular device that is only getting more popular by the day. For most the part the majority of Americans watches the presidential election on television. Television has had a negative effect on the presidential election but a positive effect on the Now that everyone is up to date with the television world we can see the election progress off the T.V. Although we only see what is on the T.V. that is not all that goes on. That just all they want the world to see. It has turned into a quick and fast response that is just used to please the audience and get them on our side. “Theodore H. White, who subscribed fully to [John F.] Kennedy’s view that the debate had made the difference in the election, complained, in The Making of the President 1960, that television had dumbed down the issues by forcing the candidates to respond to questions instantaneously,” (Source C) By doing this we are not sure who to trust because they just want to please the crowd instead of actually worrying about the problem.
