Dr. Temple Grandin is a miraculous person who has autism and helps to explain and showcase how autism doesn’t have to drag an individual down and it can raise them up. The reason for autism affecting boys more often is currently unknown. There are some signs and symptoms to look for in children such as repetitive behaviors, communication difficulties, social challenges, sleep deficits, mood, anxiety, hyperactivity, and attention problems. Expressing these signs and symptoms does not mean that a person has autism they might have another aliment. People are quick to jump to the conclusion that a child has autism because they have behavior issues or they are hard to handle. There might be more ways that a child could develop Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) but scientist do not know those possible ways yet. According to (Science Journal Cell) mutations in 15q chromosome region is one of the reasons people can have autism (cite). In neuro-typical brains gene UBE3A can be turned off and on by the regulatory switch, protein kinase A (PKA), when it needs to be, but in brains affected by ASD, mutations cause the gene to be turned on continuously making it hyperactive. When UBE3A is hyperactive, which is caused by the destruction of PKA, it leads to Dup15q related autism (Whitman). This is one of the most common genetic abnormalities associated with autism. There are other genetic abnormalities that can cause
