Tendinitis is the overuse of the body part that hurts a lot like in the knees, elbow, base of the thumb, and anywhere there is a tendin. You don’t have to be an athlete to get tendinitis, normally people that are 40 years of age get it much easier with the overuse of the body. The way the athletes are getting tendinitis much faster is not doing the correct stretches when they are warming up for a sport, and bad posture. There are also other risk factors of tendinitis are poorly placed bone or joints making it stress the soft-tissue structures. Therefore, softball players are overusing their arms during the off season. NCAA need to limit the number of practicing hours a team can meet, to minimize risk of tendinitis.
