Validity determines whether the test measures what it claims to measure. There are a few forms of assessment validity they include criterion-related validity, content validity, and construct validity. Validity is important because assessments should be measuring something that is important. No child left behind is a one size fits all set up. Students do not walk into the classroom as exact replicas of each other instead they are all different. Every student learns, acts, and takes tests different. Every student takes test differently, and these tests do no take into account all of the other factors that affect students. Educators are getting frustrated because they are having to teach to the test. The NCLB is frustrating for teachers because it is an assessment that can make or break the school district.
