• Texas chicken has chosen “CHEESIER- SPICIER- CRUNCHIER” as the tagline to represent how their food is delicious with the use of those attractive words. Jalapeno is a form of chili which is very famous in the United Stated of America and its very spicy compared to the normal green chilies that we can get in our stores here. The tagline that they have provided can give the customers two different kinds of fear. First, it would be about their diet concern because the food is going to be cheesy and that can affect one who is concern about healthy eating. Emotions are used to convey the message in this form of ad. When we say “Cheesier, Spicier and Crunchier”, automatically it arouses our emotion in the kind of delight which will be served to us. Pathos involves around many emotions like happy, sad, fearful, guilty, cheerful and etc. The words which are presented can make one hungry just by looking at it, it would make them start thinking about how delightful will the food be. • The term “Play on Words” is used because of the usage of catchy and attractive words as a medium to convey a message to the consumers’ out there. These days many purchase a product or even willing to try a product with the creativeness of their catchy taglines that product companies comes up with. The catchy word which is used in the Texas Chicken ad is “It’s Crunch Time!”. With the use of with word itself we can already establish the fact that the food or most likely the chickens served here is crunchy and we are ought to enjoy a crunchy delight at any time when we dine in Texas Chicken.

• Ethos: Ethos is persuading one about a product and its credibility. In this tissue the tagline “It’s Crunch Time!“ is presented to assure customers about their crunchy chicken that they serve at Texas Chicken. We can assume that most chickens served in Texas Chicken are going to be crunchy. The words that they use as a tagline should be fair to the product/food presented by them. If companies come with good ethos, consumers’ will trust the credibility of their product/food and will be willing to try them.
