There was a war that shook the entire world a few decades ago. It was a war that tore families apart. It was a war that severed the breaths of thousands of people both soldiers and civilians alike. It was a war that no child of the early 1900s who survived it all could ever forget. This was the war between nations; this was World War II.

Many men left their families and homes to enlist in the army. Fighting to defend the country they love, these men contributed what skills and abilities they had for the war effort. History holds the stories of how a great number of these men died fighting for what they believed in. Another portion of history tells the tale of the heroic efforts of those who survived and contributed to the victory of the Allies. These special troops were believed to be rumors and stories. No record of their existence and their work was ever found in history books and old papers. However, recent discoveries proved that there really was such a special army troop that worked undercover for the victory of the Allied forces. Its existence had been denied by the Pentagon for about half a century, but this top-secret unit was finally revealed to the public in the 1990s.

Nonetheless, this special unit was still not given the acknowledgement it deserved for its contribution to the victory of the Allies. This is mainly because many individuals have no idea what they actually contributed in the war effort. Nobody knew that they left their homes to enlist in the army because the unit they enlisted in was highly classified. Their efforts may seem insignificant to many, but they do not know that the efforts of this special unit were one of the most crucial matters that could have brought about the victory or the downfall of the Allied
