You may be wondering, “What was the American Revolution?” Well, that is a very good question. The American Revolution took place in the 1700’s. It was a time where many people fought for their rights, freedom, land, faith, and many more important issues. The people of King George lll left their country, Britain, to start a new life in America. But not that many people agreed with that. Should they have left? Do you think it was right for them to leave and start a new life?

As stated earlier, despite the fact that they were 3,000 miles across the ocean didn’t mean that the king was not in charge of them anymore. He still did whatever he wanted, whenever he wanted, and wherever he wanted. So he started to tax everything.
The items he taxed were stamps, paper, sugar, tea, and many more. Taxing the tea though upset the Colonist the most. They were furious.
They were so mad that on December 17, 1773 the colonists of Boston sailed to the Boston Harbor dumping 342 chests of tea in the water. And is remembered as The Boston Tea Party today.
King George lll was so mad that he sent soldiers over the America Which led to a lot more conflict.
