The French Revolution in France began in 1789, in which the monarchy was overthrown and to where the ideas of Enlightenment would unify the people of France to want their own share of equal rights. During this time, France was shockingly in debt due to once supporting the United States in the American Revolution. The King of France, Louis XVI, was a young, inexperienced ruler who puts France under those circumstances. Therefore, being in a tremendous amount of debt would cause France to be on the brink of bankruptcy. This would turn out to be one of the major problems of the French Revolution.
