Heros are found throughout the books in history whether they be from old greek literature or modern day movies; But none of them are like the story of Hercules. Though the story in the disney movie differs from the actual original story there are some things that are relate to each other in some form or another.
The archetype for Hercules the Myth can fit many characteristics of many archetypes. Wholly in just he is of the warrior archetype.
“Go not back to Thebes. Dwell in Tiryns, serve Eurystheus for twelve years, and perform the ten dangerous labors that he will ask of you. Only after completing these will you find the peace and serenity that you seek.” This quote in the myth is significant because it directly informs the reader of Hercules’ quest to find peace within himself.

An example of this is when he goes into exile after killing Megara and his children. Hercules’ dragons are the the twelve tasks he has to overcome throughout the story. Hercules’ ultimate task is to redeem his soul in the eyes of Zeus. This is shown when Zeus himself, commands Hercules to serve Eurystheus. Hercules’s virtue is his morality. He slays the beasts that hurt or kill people and by doing so, he becomes a hero.
In conclusion the Hercules’ in the original myth is often a template for the modern day hero; Overcoming fear and doing what is
