The event that signaled the beginning of World War I was the assassination of the Archduke of Austria, Franz Ferdinand. This event launched Europe and other parts of the world to the most disastrous war the earth had ever seen. This war was dreadful because the technology was more advanced than nations fighting strategies during the war. The nations that were collapsing were Austrians and Germans because of the cost and the tension of the war. Some countries like Russia,had their government overthrown and had to replace it with a temporary government then they overthrew that one and replaced it with communist government. The treaty of Versailles, which ended in the First World War caused Germany to get in debt with Great Britain and France.
