All because your superiors made a mistake. 1941, WWII, December, Pearl Harbor, a U.S. naval base, was bombed by Japan. And this bombing sparked light and influenced the U.S. to retaliate. 1945, the war has mainly ended except for Japan, who hasn't surrendered yet. So the U.S., looking for a way to end the war quickly, dropped the first atomic bomb, "Little Boy" on Hiroshima. This verdict was made by Harry Truman, to either invade Japan by land and end the war that way, jeopardizing American soldiers' lives, or drop Little Boy. And this decision was wholly gratuitous violence because it caused innocent lives to suffer, both mentally and physically. To begin, the atomic bomb was exceptionally lethal. It contained 15,000 tons of TNT & killed over 100,000 people. According to HistoryCrunch.com "The bombing instantly killed 70,000 to 80,000 Japanese in the city & tens of thousands more to radiation exposure." This conveys how much damage it caused & how many people it killed, and marred the quality of life for others. It was an absolute tragedy for this to happen & for this many to die like this.
