I absolutely loved The Bell Jar; I found the story and characters extremely intriguing. Although Esther faced many difficult situations in her life, her journey was motivating. Sylvia Plath, the author, creates a inspired mood by using a cynical tone in her writing. In addition, she makes her characters easy to understand and connect to. Portraying the theme of growth, Esther shows how one can start over in life after a drastic change. Furthermore, I found this book really entertaining because it always left me wondering what would happen next.
