Best Presentation Method I believe that ihe best media method for presenting my information for the era of 1950-1960 would be doing an iMovie because you can make a visually appealing video, have a voice-over, and finally being able to add music to the video to make a less boring outcome. iMovie will also be the best way for me to accomplish what I want in a video about my era. iMovie enables you to create and edit videos or movies with their easy to use software. Some of the other programs don’t offer as much freedom to do what you want which wouldn’t be helpful when making my presentation. I want my video to look good and pretty to the eye, so iMovie would be the best option for that. iMovie provides a variety of ways to make the video better, like for example, on the fake “producer” you can change what that looks like to make it more official. iMovie also lets you use both music and and a voiceover during your video which helps to make the video a little bit more entertaining. For example, programs such as Animoto also allow you to have a voiceover and music but you can’t switch off between both. Animoto only allows you to have one or the other which for grade purposes wouldn't work because you would either have to find a way to speak the entire video (5-7 minutes), or you would have to take a lower grade and have music playing the whole time. In this case, iMovie is clearly the best choice. Not to mention, iMovie has an easy to use layout that provides instructions while you are creating your work. In class, we practiced making trailers that told you what to fill in, what you could change, and what the clips should be of. My goals for this project are, to persuade people to want to travel back to the 1950s, inform them about historical events that happened in the era, and finally to entertain the audience. To be able to successfully persuade someone, there is certain criterion that needs to be met. For example, to persuade, you need to to keep the attention of your audience which is where the entertaining comes in because if they watch something that catches their eye or affect their emotions, they are more likely to be persuaded. Next, you need to make sure you use information and reasoning that defends and fully explains your topic.
