The author Ronald Youngblood observed the preface of the Old Treatment in the book, The Heart of the Old Testament by demonstrating the basic outline of the Scriptures is to trace the development of certain key ideas from one end of the Bible to the other. This book serves a great purpose that lays out nine themes that constitute the heart of the Old Testament. The nine themes are monotheism, sovereignty, election, covenant, theocracy, law, sacrifice, faith, and redemption. Dr. Ron Youngblood has achieved his purpose in an admirable layout before us the heart of the Old Testament in a careful and practical manner. Dr. Youngblood links the key theological strands of the Old Testament to the New in a style that is biblically sound, highly readable,
I´m comparing The Red Umbrella by Christina Diaz Gonzalez and “Band-Aid for 800 Children” by Eli Sastow and the common subject in the texts is a sacrifice. There are many similar techniques they use but there are other techniques that are different. The following are some similarities that show sacrifice between the texts The Red Umbrella by Christina Diaz Gonzalez and “Band-Aid for 800 Children” by Eli Sastow. One similarity is they both have a point of view of how Lucy’s thoughts are always with Me or My shown in the text like ¨My head seemed to nod on its own, without any instruction from me¨. Also from Nora Sandigos point of view since she 's the only person who expresses her feeling and speaks throughout the text like “Dios Mio,” she says, my God, because these are not just things she hopes to get done but things she needs to get done — things she is in fact legally responsible for doing”.

Khan 1 Zeeshan Khan Spanish 2 Mr. Ramirez 21ST October, 2015 Innocent Voices Essay Luis Mandoki’s ‘Innocent Voices’ gives us a close look at the troubles faced by many families in El Salvador during the civil war times. The director makes sure to hook his audience to his presentation and starts introducing the difficulties one by one. One of the first ones we see is the absence of an ideal leader, mostly a father, from most families. As soon as the audience feels sorrow for the families, the lens changes over to a group of army men raiding a school to take away kids for training. The scenes cause the audience to understand the violent and stressing environment the kids go through.
Ronald Youngblood wrote The Heart of the Old Testament. His goal, in this book, was to show the human race that the Old Testament is about the same as the New Testament, and that it shouldn’t be treated differently. There are nine themes that Youngblood names that form the column of the Old Testament. He then talks about these nine themes of the Old Testament and support them with scriptures from the New Testament.
The constant study of the Bible allowed them to keep diaries, conduct sermons, and also write poetry. Every sermon held had three main components which are the text, the doctrine, and the improvement. The text was the introduction and was the writing of verses from the Bible. Next, during the doctrine, the minister speaks of a critical explanation of theological concepts, which also go along with the verses. Lastly, the sermon is ended with the improvement.
The Bible is separated into two main sections, the Old and New Testaments. The Old Testament tells of the time before Jesus Christ comes into the world. On the other hand, the New Testament tells of the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Many people view the Old and New Testament as being totally separate parts of the bible. The view point of these two different sections may be somewhat true for certain subjects, such as the list of unclean animals and the covenant associated with circumcision.
It is important to know the cultural and historical background of the New Testament because it makes it easier for new believers and old believers to understand the true explanation of the Bible. After reading the New Testament, it appears that Christians have more freedom because there were too many rules that Christians had to follow in the Old Testament. One of the most important pieces of information is that it is important to know why someone believes in something. If one believes in something, then he or she should be able to explain to others why do they believe in what they believe. In the Old Testament it seems like everyone was living in prison because they had too many rules that no one could follow.
Old Testament Main Events The Old Testament list many events that could be classified as main events. There are a lot of things that stick out as being significant events or highlights in history. Choosing a few of the many events from the Old Testament and classifying them as main events, is a hard task to complete since there are so many. The Creation, The Great Flood and the Ten Commandments are a few that are commonly talked about and discussed.

Early Recognition and Preservation of the New Testament An author takes a series of steps to write a book. He might plan an outline, a storyboard, or develop a rough draft. Next, he might have someone proof-read or edit his work. Finally, he would publish his work. The tools used in each of these steps may advance and change over time, involve one person and be informal, or involve an entire company with a thoroughly documented process.
What would happen if we all did not know how to properly interpret what people say or what we read? Would we all get offended, confused or bewildered? That is exactly what happens with the Bible on a daily basis. People will pick up the Bible, read a part of it, and then take it out of context and not get the full understanding of what it means. Misunderstanding the Bible leads to people believing that there are contradictions in it because they do not know how to properly read and interpret the Bible, they forget that the Bible goes more in depth and repeats important events, and Jesus’ death is easily misunderstood.
Controversial topics are and have been a big part of our society all throughout history. One of the most controversial topics in history is the Bible. And inside it there are many hard things to understand that many people have one opinion while others may think in another way. One of this issues encountered in the Bible being if Christians are suppose to follow the Mosaic Law or the law that God gave to the Jews through Moses which consists of many rules and laws that the Jews should obey back at that time. In my opinion I strongly believe Christians are no longer under and not required to follow the Mosaic Law because it is impossible for humans to fulfill the Law without Jesus, also we now are saved through Jesus grace and our faith not
The book of Revelation primarily concerns the Second Coming of Christ and the last days. His Second Coming will be as judge of the world, unlike His first coming when He came to die for man's sin. Several hundred years before the Lord came to earth to die on the cross,
