Across the world, many people struggle with change and that’s because it’s difficult to adapt to change. It’s difficult to adapt to change because change can be good or impact you badly. I learned this from The Boy in the Striped Pajamas by John Boyne, because a boy named Bruno is a curious person and his curiosity about change puts him in two different positions of change; a good change and a bad change. You will now learn the process Bruno went through that helped us learn that change can be amazing or can, as I mentioned previously impact you badly.
In the beginning of The Boy in the Striped Pajamas by John Boyne you can see how when something changes it won’t be described nicely or the character like Bruno might not want to be there. For instance on page 15 Bruno described the new house as “cold,nasty” since he just moved, he is just going to want to move back at first. This supports the fact that new changes won’t be described nicely because these are the first words Bruno used to describe the new house. Another example is on page 13 when Bruno says “I think this was a bad idea.” Furthermore this shows that new changes won’t be described nicely because in this part you see Bruno doesn’t like the new house which is why he described it badly because the change is unwanted. You can see this on page 110 when Shmeul says “We fight a lot of the time though.” When he said this he was referring to the kids on his side, which means he has no friends which gives Bruno and Shmuel a closer relationship since they have more in common. In addition on page 126, Shmuel tells Bruno how he moved which also brought them closer since they have even more in common since Bruno moved too. This shows how they became friends and how change can be
