There are many people around the world that are aware of all the people that are living in poverty, but they don’t take the time out of their lives to take any actions that can lower the rate of poverty around the world. There have been many people to have the title of being a bystander due to the fact that they don’t take any action in an event where there are some bad effects towards other people. Poverty is when a person doesn’t have enough resources to be able to survive such as food, clothing and, especially, a home. People living in poverty are usually seen in streets with a sign that is asking for help because they don’t have a job and/or a home to live in. The bystander effect is taking place all over the world when it comes to poverty and not everybody is taking any actions to stop or decrease poverty. According to “A Social Justice Perspective on Poverty”, "This study reinforces the notion of poverty being a multidimensional concept – but also reflects the intuitive understanding of poverty referred to initially: where there is hunger, there is poverty" ("A Social Justice Perspective on Poverty"). The bystander effect is taking place in this part of the world because there are places where food is not hard to obtain because people have the sources to grow their own food or have it the easy way to obtain money that will lead them to buy food. Many countries are being aware of the people living in hunger, but they do not manage to do something that will help the ones in need. The ways that people in other countries can take action is by having food drives and clothing drives that can provide people living in poverty with food and clothes that will allow them to have the basic things a human needs in order to live. According to “Poverty, a key issue for social justice”, "The eradication of extreme poverty is obviously a global challenge but begins on a local level by ensuring the rights of the poor to satisfy their needs." (“Poverty, a key issue for social justice”). The poor have not managed to live a regular life since they are living with challenges that separate them from having to live with their regular human rights. By satisfying the needs of the poor people then they would manage to have a job that will give them enough to start over with their life. Bystanders that are capable of helping others should help the lives of the poor in order to use their power to make the people living in this world live a better life.
