BEAVER DAMS (WENY) - With not even $10 in the bank, the members at the Full Gospel Church Caitlin, in Beaver Dams, took it upon themselves to build a new parsonage. For the past eleven years Reverend Patrick Neyman, his wife Petrice and four-year-old Patrick, of the Full Gospel Church Caitlin, in Beaver Dams, have been living in not the most ideal situation. Bill Carson, a church member decsribes the current parsonage as and old 1960's double wide trailer with two inch walls.
While circumstances can vary, an individual’s first choice is rarely to choose homelessness due to the inability to afford housing or other unforeseen circumstances. The support of friends, family, and community programs/shelters are first suggestions when a person becomes displaced. When these suggestions become inadequate, living on the streets is the next favorable/affordable option. According to the National Alliance to End Homelessness, on a night in January of 2015, there were 564,708 people homeless in the United States (para 3).
Why does a popular and expensive tourist spot in the middle of the Pacific Ocean have so many homeless people? People dream of vacationing and living the good life in Hawaii. However, there are many people in Hawaii who live in homelessness. The Hawaiian government is trying to help the homeless with numerous efforts. The government has announced that they are using the program, Housing First, which is a nation-wide program known to be the most efficient way to getting people who are suffering from chronic illness off the streets (“Housing First”).
I think many homeless people are happy to be homeless. Some primary causes of homelessness are lack of affordable housing, unemployment, poverty, and low wages. Homeless adults seem more likely to become homeless because of both choice and circumstance. Children, however, are most likely to be homeless because of circumstances, such as their parents. Rose Mary and Rex choose to be homeless.
It’s been one day with Donald Trump as the United States President Elect and the amount of fear flowing through our collective hearts is sickening. No human should have to fear for their life, but Americans especially should not have to fear. Our forefathers created a nation in order that we would not have to fear. But think of all those who have feared for their lives in America, all of the minorities in race, sexuality, and belief- all of those people who are in a nation that preaches protection and equality.

They don’t have enough money to afford a home so they’re forced to go homeless. They either can’t find a job, or their job doesn’t pay enough. This has been happening ever since the beginning of human life on earth. What causes this is that people don’t have the wealth to get a place to stay.
The issue of homelessness in America has been evident since the early 1600’s. Across the country men, women and children spend their nights on the streets not knowing when or if they will ever find a permanent home. States and federal officials or city councils have tried to alleviate or at least reduce the number of homeless over the last several decades at a city, state or national level but it continues to be an ongoing problem. There is a multitude of factors that account for the growing homeless population that affects each state in the country differently. Though there are many contributing factors that contribute to the amount of people living on the street at any given night in the U.S.

The conditions they live in are horrible and everyone should do what they can to help end poverty and world hunger.
The Effects of Poverty, Homelessness, and Hunger in Education Even before a child is born, they are affected by their environment. Poverty in children can be seen at a very young age. Mothers that live in poverty have babies with low birth weight and medical problems. Poverty, homelessness, and hunger can have extremely negative effects on the brain and body. It also affects a child’s education and learning ability.
