There were different things used to build the Panama Canal. There were 900 people at the work of the Panama Canal. There were also big machines used, but also the Canal was built by a big, long river. Many people were put to work on the Canal because the Canal was so big that it exceeded any other countries capacity. The locks that were built on the Canal had 3 chambers. This is how the Panama Canal was built with and where it was built. There were some difficulties with building the Panama Canal. Of course when time goes by there is also weather. For example when it rained it made a ton of mud which caused the workers to work slower. The mud and rain they also caused landslides. The Panama Canal had to be the largest which was a challenge. The Panama was able to take on the biggest/mightiest ships when it was built. The Panama Canal was a 10 shortcut from the Atlantic ocean to the Pacific ocean which was better so other ships could get to other places faster.
