Johnny cade’s Obituary Johnny Cade, A greaser from The Outsiders died in 1965 at the young age of 16. Johnny was born on March 1, 1949 to his parents, Mr.Cade and Mrs.Cade. Not exactly sure when he became friends with the greasers which are Dallas Winston, Ponyboy Curtis, Sodapop Curtis and ect.. He became a greaser, the youngest one out of all of them.

Ponyboy corrected Randy which was heroic because not a lot of people would have corrected his opinion especially if that person was older than you. Ponyboy was brave in the situation as well because he corrected a Soc who was much older and stronger that him. Also, Ponyboy tries to saves innocent people when he knows they are in trouble. Ponyboy saw the burning church he hid in for a few days and said to a man named Jerry who was about to help the children, ‘I’ll get them, don’t worry’ (pg.91) while running to the burning church.
Johnny is loyal and would sacrifice his reputation to save Ponyboy’s life. Darry, one of Ponyboy’s brothers goes to work everyday to earn money for the people he loves, he does this so that his brothers could all be one family. Toghether they make it through anything. 2.) Even though, Dally is much bigger than him, and could’ve got beat up, he still stood up to him, and Dally storms off. Cherry, one of the girls that Johnny rescued said, “Thank you, he was starting to scare me.” This again shows that Johnny did the right thing, in being brave and courageous, and standing up to Dally. After reading ‘The Outsiders’, I have really started to get to know the characters. My favorite character is Dally. I like him because he is kind of like a leader in the group. He doesn’t take anything from anyone. Everytime somthing exciting happens he is always the one to step in and sauce it up.

A hero can be anyone around you. A hero is a person who is strong, has courage, helps others, and does good deeds. Ponyboy deserves to be considered a hero. Johnny also deserves to be considered a hero too. Dally does not deserve to be considered a hero though, unlike Ponyboy and Johnny.
One theme in The Outsiders is “friendship” this is shown all throughout the book and movie . One example of this theme is when Johnny killed Bob, who was a socs, to defend his friends. This occurs a lot with Johnny, who had very poor home life, for him it was all he had was friends. Another example was when Ponyboy ran away with Johnny to help him get away so he wouldn't be caught. This is a big deal because if Ponyboy is scene with Johnny then he will be accused too.
but that didn't stop him. Johnny Cade is the greatest hero in the Outsiders because of the courage he showed by saving PonyBoy, he risked his own life to save the children in the burning church, and finally Johnny kept living a motivated life despite his upbringing. Johnny Cade is the greatest hero in the novel the Outsiders. Loyalty goes a long way, as shown by the incident at the park. Johnny Cade showed great courage at the park.
This shows how he gained back his self-confidence and his ability to stand up for himself. Johnny finally found his acceptance from Dally when Dally said, “We’re all so proud of you” (148). People are often misconceived for what they present on the outside, not what’s on the inside. This is shown in a number of characters in a number of novels. One of these novels, is called the Outsiders, written by S.E. Hinton. In this novel, there is a boy named Johnny, who is in a gang called the greasers. He is like the pet of the gang, and without him, their is no balance between the gang mates.
He ultimately became a better person a the end of his life. Johnny is a Christ-like figure because he sacrificed himself to save children from a fire; Johnny also contributes to the a theme of the book: appearances aren’t everything; lastly he serves to teach Ponyboy about the world though his actions and words. Johnny is a Christ-like figure for saving kids from a burning building. Evidence is shown in this quote—“Johnny yelled, ‘shut up! We’re goin’ to get you out!’”
