Selection Sunday occurs on March 12, and this is when the Selection Committee ranks the teams based on their standings, degree of difficulty of their schedule, and notable wins. Overall, this year’s tournament looks to be exciting and unpredictable.

This is why I think 8 teams from each conference should be in the playoffs. I know some people like the playoffs the way they are, and others don’t really care, but I think the playoffs should expand. Expansion would mean more games in a season, allow more money for some teams and the league, and it wouldn’t be the same teams in the playoffs.
