The three ships were proceeding west-southwest and were experiencing rougher seas than they had during the entire voyage. Perhaps it was the rough seas that caused Pedro to seek out the Admiral whom he had avoided for so many days. When he approached the Admiral it was early morning and the sun was shining from the East. Pedro paused a little bit, to look at the Admiral, and was struck by the bright sun streaking through his silver hair. A halo it seemed. He wondered, as he did the first time he saw the Admiral, what kind of man. He was so very different from his attentive father.
