The overall consequences of the industrial revolution were horrible and the progress of the industrial revolution cannot even account for all of the human suffering. During the industrial revolution, there was exploitation of labour. The job did not pay well, there were very few breaks, the machinery was dangerous and the overall environment was dirty and resulted in life threatening injuries. As outlined in the film, Modern Times, this film depicts the hardship of a worker and showed how working in factories resulted in many complications.
