His first major move in the foreign policy was the re-militarisation of the Rhineland in 1936, this bold move of Hitler wasn’t matched with a bold move from the French therefore Hitler felt very confident that the French were afraid to attack back. Hitler gave his men orders to retreat if the French offered any resistance however France didn’t do anything therefore the Germans kept the land. Next in 1938, the sanguine Hitler coerced France and Britain into letting him take over Sudetenland without them interfering. Furthermore, in 1939 once again Hitler let his confidence get the better of him as this time he took over all of Czechoslovakia. Finally in 1939, Hitler cracked the thin ice he was on by invading Poland in order to regain the Polish corridor. As I have already mentioned, the foreign policy links to the Treaty of Versaille as there wouldn’t have been a foreign policy had the treaty not been so strict, furthermore it also links with the Nazi-Soviet pact as Hitler was afraid of France, Britain and Russia working together therefore he needed to ally with Russia and he figured the best way to do this was to give the Russians all of Poland apart from the Polish corridor (this also prevented the Germans and the Soviets from going to war for the next 10 years), it also links with the appeasement as since Hitler was acting very aggressive
