Now in the movie “Homecoming” this guy comes back to his hometown with his girlfriend, when he comes back his ex ends up seeing him and trying act normal. But to her they are still together, he tries to avoid her as much as possible. His actual girlfriend gets hurts and his ex takes her. She does everything she can to keep her away from him until she gets him back. The girl fights back to get free from her before she kills her. All these movies can relate to Abigail in the book “The Crucible” because they all was obsessed with someone that was married or in a relationship or just someone they started a friendship with. Salem was under British rule, when the hysteria began the colony was waiting for a new governor. But by time he came the jail was already filled with alleged witches. Most of the families in Salem has to support themselves, made their own clothes, planting vegetables, raising meats. Farming was difficult for them because of the climate was harsh and rough, rocky terrain but if a drought or flood would happen it could ruin a year’s harvest. Family feud was the main factor of what led to the trials other factors was strict religious rules, and affairs. After the Salem Witch trials was over they was still “Witches” in jail and couldn’t afford to be released. The only way they would be released if the had land or enough money to pay for food and housing.
