The Crucible
Reverend Hale is one of the crucibles most dynamic characters. He joins the conflict from the very beginning having no idea who anyone is or exactly what's happening. Only that there is the possibility for witchcraft in the town. In the movie, The Crucible, we can see this instantly when he arrives in town. Besides his almost instant trust to John he shows no sign of any other influence. As he goes door to door checking for evil spirits and eventually he ends up again with John, when there he admits how stressful this case has become and that he hates it. This continues on to the following day when John is in trial, and he breaks down and yells at Judge Danforth about how he has signed too many warrants. His final break, which makes him perhaps the most dynamic character, is when he quits the entire case. The whole reason he came to the town was to help them with their witch problem, but he ended up leaving after he realized he was helping sentence innocent people. …show more content…

She started the problem by participating in the dance and asking that she may be with John Proctor again. It was her desires and her greed that caused all of the following actions in the movie. For example the following day, when they are back in town, at church they all leave to go check on Betty. As time goes on Betty wakes and Abigail is first to tell her and the girls exactly what happened even if it wasn't true. As the events continue you can easily see how Abigail is controlling the girls, and that they are doing everything she says. This gets to the point where Abigail is just making it all up, faking everything she see and feels. Finally at the end she gets what she deserves, when trying to sneak of with John he says one thing “the next time we will meet is in hell”, and after his line Abigail is forced to run away by
