Rain reminds him of silence but not emptiness which he likes because when it rains, it feels like the rain is speaking to you with the silence noise they make speaks, it feels like it talking in silence but not an empty silence. This connects to why he likes rain because Christopher doesn't like interacting with people the noise and sound they make aren't as peaceful as silence as rain it is, their silence is more aggressive and large. It shows that he is able to do a lateral thing, which he often does when expressing his emotions but when he uses lateral and connects it with other things it shows how he feels in a deeper connection which provides the author with the opportunity to express his emotion more emotionally which can help the reader understand how Christopher lifestyle work when it comes to emotions and despite he expresses his emotions straight forward and cold there is another way he emotional expressing himself., also connect how different Christopher and people with autism use thing or words to express their selves.
