During the time of this course I have noticed two events that made a significant contribution to history. The creation of The Declaration of Independence and the Whiskey rebellion. Both events are years apart but have something similar to each other. The declaration of independence shows why the colonists wanted to become independent from England because of a number of reasons and the Whiskey Rebellion is a repeat or one reason of why colonists wanted to become independent. The colonists believed they had their own rights and that is what they fought for. Taxation became one of the main causes for the colonists to fight for their independence. Colonist felt that they could not be taxed without representation and that it was
