Introduced were the three main characters that are the focal point in the Christian worldview, including God who is sovereign and a triune God, humanity who began life in God’s good graces, but quickly fell away because of idolatry and bad choices early on, and Jesus, the Savior who came and rescued them. Crucified and then resurrected, Jesus restored humanity’s relationship with God and because of God’s infinite love, through grace, promised them life eternal. Through this, benefits and strengths of the Christian worldview were brought to the forefront along with some challenges that believers face. Finally, this discussion revealed my own beliefs in relationship to the Christian worldview.

America today has a broad diversity of cultures amongst its civilization that includes the secular culture, Christian culture, and other religious cultures. In my opinion, I don’t see America today ever actually settling but continuing to have many different cultures and religious aspects especially as the country loses more of its Christian values. In addition, there must be a restoration of the Christian culture that was witnessed in the Great Awakenings. With that said, this does not necessarily mean that the country must become an all Christian society but that the Christian values must represent most of what we do and think as individuals. “It is rooted in what people think and what they think will determine how they act” (Schaeffer, n.d.).
Basic Christianity is a crucial foundation that must be deeply entrenched within the hearts and minds of believers. The essential and basic principles aid every Christian by showing and teaching them how great God’s love is for us. In John Stott’s Book, “Basic Christianity,” he reveals insight on what it is to be a Christian. He also dispels many erroneous teachings that have been brought into the Christian community. Stott states in the beginning of his book that many have held the assumption that God sits on His throne, aloof, distant, and unconcerned for our needs and problems (Stott, pg. 17).

Within these societies, there were small groups of those who helped the religion survive, despite the struggles they faced and had to overcome. There was different types of leaders throughout this process who each had their own effect on the religion as a whole.
