The author of this novel Mitch Albom is a very well known author, he wrote lots of popular book such as “Tuesdays with Morrie” and lots more. This novel “The First Phone Call from Heaven is categorised as a Christian Fiction/ Fiction and also Inspirational too. The story of the novel starts by one day in the small town called “Coldwater”, Michigan there is a mysterious phone call Friday night. Have you ever thought of getting a phone call from your love who is already being dead. The novel is about people in Coldwater, Michigan getting phone call every Friday from their loved ones who is has been already dead. Mitch Albom is trying to emphasise on faith, even though the author seems to emphasise on religion but he shows that everything can change by whether we believe something or not. If we believe that there is heaven then there is one, in the novel, due to different people receiving phone calls from their loved one shows a variety of reactions, some believe and some doubt. Mitch Albom shows the religious meaning of hope in this novel. The story takes place in a small town of Coldwater, Michigan.
